This beautiful Tuscan inspired winery is a true joy to behold.  From the drive up to the winery, to the beautiful entrance and beyond, you will see breathtaking views of the Red Mountains behind you and Horse Heaven Hills in front. This is one winery in Benton City, WA,  that you just won't want to leave.  A cobblestone path leads you to a waterfall and they have a wonderful amphitheater for summer concerts.  They have a huge patio, just waiting for you to relax with a glass of wine and take in the view. Inside, with its Tuscan-inspired architecture, they have an extensive tasting room that even includes a baby grand piano. You won't want to miss their wine library with shelves that reach at least 15 feet high.

This winery was inspired by the natural caves used in Europe to age wine. Terra Blanca has two extensive cave systems to store row after row of French oak barrels. The first cave system was built in 1997 and houses approximately 1,000 58-gallon barrels. In 2004, the second system was built and it houses 3,000 barrels. This cave system is kept at a constant temperature of 57 degrees to age their wine. On a hot summer day, you will enjoy the experience of the caves.  Make sure you take a sweater and make sure you call ahead. Cave tours are by appointment only.

The winemaker, Keith Pilgrim, makes some amazing wines from the famous Red Mountain fruit. Wine tasting is free unless you decide to taste the Reserve selection. We recommend that you pay the $5 tasting fee to experience their Roussanne, Reserve Merlot, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and their Reserve Syrah.  For our wine club members, we selected two of our favorites, the reserve chardonnay and the reserve syrah. However, it was a tough decision to make because they were all high quality wines. Needless to say, several cases ended up in our trunk, which we are willing to share with our members.
