We visited Page Cellars in Woodinville, WA for the first time in January 2010. I don’t know how we managed to miss this winery for so many years, because it has been around since 2000, but we did. We won’t pass it up again! We felt right at home when we were greeted immediately by owner and wine-maker Jim Page and his wife, Rothelle. They were quick to place a wine glass in our hand and share their passion for the wines that they . . . |

In 1983, owner and winemaker, Gabor Palotai, got a student visa to study in the United States. He was a long way from his home in Communist-controlled Hungary. When it was time to return to his home in Budapest, Gabor defected to America. Gabor may now live in America, but he has never forgotten his Hungarian roots. Gabor learned about making wine at a young age from his grandfather. Like his grandfather, Gabor believes in “Old World” craftsmanship, following centuries old European . . . |

We visited this winery in October and immediately we new that we had to feature their wines. This winery seems to have it all. Its location is set in the beautiful Chehalem Mountains. Its setting is rolling hills and acres of north-south running vineyards. Its not uncommon to spot a soaring hawk in the blue sky. The views from their terrace and parking area are breathtaking. During our visit, many artists were attempting to capture the view on canvas. Some of them were able to multi-task, with |

This winery is located in the foothills of the Coast Range in Northern Yamhill County, Oregon. Owners Keith and Trudy Kramer planted their first grapes in April 1983 and they produced their first vintage in 1989. Winemaker, Trudy Kramer feels that their winemaking has evolved over the years. They are an estate vineyard with 23 acres, using only their grapes for their wines. The only exception is the syrah and merlot. Since these varietals do not grow well in this area of Oregon, . . . |

We recently visited the tasting room of Coyote Canyon Winery which is located in Prosser, WA. This is a little piece of Heaven. We were fortunate to visit this tasting room on two different occasions and both times the place was packed. Feel free to step right up to the bar (if there is room) and enhance your wine experience as their gracious staff take you through a journey of “life in wine” with their selection of handcrafted, 100% estate grown wines. |

We experienced Troon Vineyards for the first time during our trip Carlton, Oregon. Although their winery is really in Grants Pass, Oregon, near the California border, they opened up another tasting room in Carlton, Oregon, so wine enthusiasts from all over Oregon and Washington could experience their creations without having to make that six hour drive south. |

This is a new and upcoming small, family-owned winery in a pastoral setting between Gaston and Forest Grove, Oregon. RJ and Juanita Lint are the owners of this new winery. In 2003 they planted one dense acre of Pinot Noir behind their home on Plum Hill Lane in Forest Grove and harvested two crops of grapes from that vineyard. In September, 2007, they bought a third-generation dairy farm that overlooks Scoggins Valley. They are renovating the dairy to a winery, keeping many of the old farm . . . |

Owner and winemaker, Larry Pearson, dreamed of growing cabernet sauvignon back in the early 80’s. He and his wife, Jane, purchased their land in the Red Mountains and planted their first cabernet sauvignon vines in 1985. They named their vineyard “Tapteil”, after the lower portion of the Yakima River where the Tapteilmin (narrow river people) once lived. His vineyard now grows merlot, syrah and cabernet franc among the rows of his cabernet sauvignon. Larry makes some amazingly intense . . . |

This beautiful Tuscan inspired winery is a true joy to behold. From the drive up to the winery, to the beautiful entrance and beyond, you will see breathtaking views of the Red Mountains behind you and Horse Heaven Hills in front. This is one winery in Benton City, WA, that you just won’t want to leave. A cobblestone path leads you to a waterfall and they have a wonderful amphitheater for summer concerts. They have a huge patio, just waiting for you to relax with a glass of wine and . . . |

We fell in love with this winery during our initial visit in April. Owners, John and Nancy McClintock, built this tasting room like a tree house hideout that is tucked away among a canopy of Douglas Fir and White Oak trees. In fact, it is called “The Treehouse Tasting Room.” It is a 6000 square foot canopy-high tasting room that rests atop rolling rows of vines and stunning panoramic views of the Willamette Valley. This tasting room was built in the classic Northwest style by local . . . |

The Morrison Lane Winery is located in the historic Dacres Building in downtown Walla Walla and opened its doors in 2002. When you enter the building you immediately notice the large tasting bar lined up with many bottles of Morrison labeled wines. Behind the bar you will meet Dean and Verdie Morrison, owners of this family operated winery, both of whom are charming, witty and fun to spend time with. The Morrison’s may have opened their tasting room in 2002; but Dean and Verdie have been . . . |

When Stanislaw Stepniewski purchased Windy Point Fruit Ranch in 1972, he was struck by the Similarity to vineyards he had seen in Europe. Though Stanislaw never fulfilled his dream to grow grapes here, son Mike has brought the vision to fruition. Even the pioneer homesteaders who planted this land in the 1890's recognized it as a unique site for growing fruit. Mike and Liz Stepniewski believe that uniqueness will translate into world-class wines. |

Sole proprietors Greg and Michaela Masset welcome you to their family winery, established in 1999. The historic Angel Farmstead, built in 1905, is home to our residence, tasting room and production facility. The original barn, a portion of which we have converted to a French cottage tasting room, was once used as drying storage for tea in the 1920s and later was used to store apples and pears that were grown on the farm. |
